The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) has finalised a joint venture (JV) with US supermajor ConocoPhillips in a deal to develop Shah Gas field located 180 kilometres south-west of Abu Dhabi, Adnoc said in a statement.

The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) has slashed its five-year prediction for exploration and production due to the global recession and dramatic fall in demand, the cartel said in its recent forecast.
:: Aramco, Total seal Jubail refinery deals
Saudi Aramco and French major Total have signed $9.6 billion in deals with contractors to build the 400,000 barrel per day (bpd) Jubail export refinery.
:: RasGas to sell $2.3 billion in bonds
RasGas, one of two LNG producers in Qatar, plans to sell up to $2.3 billion in bonds to finance the expansion of liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities; Reuters reported citing a spokesman for HSBC, one of the managers of the sale.
:: Oman to ramp up output
Oman is planning to ramp up its production by the end of 2009 after reporting increased crude exports during the first quarter of the year, its minister of economy said.
:: Aramco, Shell to finish SRAK drill
Saudi Aramco and Anglo-Dutch supermajor Shell have reported that they will complete drilling of their fourth gas well in Saudi Arabia next month, after the first three wells did not result in a discovery; Bloomberg reported citing a person familiar with the project.
:: StatoilHydro’s Thunder Hawk onstream
The StatoilHydro Houston subsidiary, has announced on July 8 that the Murphy Oil-operated Thunder Hawk field located in Mississippi Canyon Block 734 in the US Gulf of Mexico has commenced production. |
