Libya set to stage first specialised trade events in 2004
Posted: 05 February 2004
ITE Group Plc and Sahara Libya Tours Company are proud to announce
the launch of the first international specialised trade events to
be held at the second half of 2004 at Tripoli International Trade
Fair. These highly specialised events are geared towards opening
North Africa’s most exciting market as a result of lifting
of more than a decade long sanctions.
September 2004 will herald the launch of both Libyatel and Libya
Energy Week. Libyatel, held from the 7th-10th of September will
cover a wide range of the technology industry sectors from the traditional
such as fixed line telecommunication to the new and fast developing
broadband technologies. Libya’s position as Africa’s
second largest oil producer is highlighted during Libya Energy Week
from the 14th -17th of September. Oil remains pivotal to Libya’s
economy and our event aims to show-case the multitude of investment
opportunities available in this vital sector.
Tripoli International Motorshow and TransLibya will take place
from the 5th-8th of October with focus areas including Air, Rail,
and Road transport as well as Freight and Logistical services. Libya
has major investment plans to upgrade its transport infrastructure
and this event will help manufacturers and providers of transport
and logistics products and services introduce their ranges to this
expanding export market.
October will also feature the launch of our health oriented event,
Libya International Healthcare Exhibition, LIHE. Held from the 12th
-15th of October, LIHE will be targeted at industry specialists
such as practising Doctors and other health care works. LIHE will
also reflect the Libyan government health policy “health for
all by all.”
Two other events will both be held in the second half of November.
World Food and Agrihort Libya from the 23rd -26th of November and
Libya Building Week from the 30th November till the 3rd of December.
Both events will unravel the complexities of selling to the Libyan
market while helping you to establish relationships with key importers
and buyers.
Libya is the most promising market in North Africa and our events
enjoy the support of General People’s Committee for Economy
and Trade, General People’s Committee for Foreign Affairs,
General Union of Libyan Chambers of Commerce Industry and Agriculture
and the Administrative Committee of the Tripoli International Fair.
Such support will surely guarantee participants and visitors the
most productive time at any trade fair.
