BJ Process and Pipeline Services appoints Derek Clark business development
manager

BJ Process and Pipeline Services (BJ PPS) announced that Derek
Clark has been appointed business development manager – Northern
Europe and West Africa.
In his new role, Clark oversees all aspects of BJ PPS business
development initiatives throughout West Africa and Northern Europe,
including the Northern North Sea, Scandinavia and Russia. Tasked
with generating sales of BJ PPS specialist process and pipeline
services, Clark is responsible for implementation and monitoring
of all sales and marketing strategies. As head of the region’s
sales force, Clark serves as a team mentor and is directly responsible
for its ongoing development.
With more than 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
and a further 27 years in engineering, Clark brings in-depth knowledge
of all aspects of process and pipeline management services, with
particular emphasis on design and project engineering, business
development, operations and finance.
Before joining BJ PPS, Clark served for several years as director
of land pipeline and industrial services for Qserv Pipeline and
Process Limited.
Previously, he was general manager of Pipeline Integrity International’s
facility in Montrose, Scotland.
Over time, Clark has worked for a number of companies in the oil
and gas industry in a variety of engineering, marketing and operational
roles around the world, including the United Kingdom, United States,
the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
A Chartered Engineer, Clark holds a Bachelor of Science Degree
in Mechanical Engineering and is a member of the Institute of Mechanical
Engineers in the United Kingdom.
Clark is based at the BJ PPS international headquarters in Aberdeen,
Scotland, and reports directly to Ewen Kleppang, regional manager
- Northern Europe and West Africa (NEWA) for BJ PPS.
