Posted: 12 February 2004
The Dutch giant Philips Lighting will be one of the major companies
participating in the Middle East Electricity Exhibition, held February
15-18 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
Philips Lighting is the leader in the global lighting market, a
position maintained by its pioneering innovation and systematic
approach to seeking out new market opportunities. In the Middle
East, Philips Lighting is involved in many prominent ongoing and
planned projects.
Now in its 29th year, Middle East Electricity is the largest electricity
exhibition in the region. Lighting is a rapidly expanding industry
area and is an integral part of the annual exhibition.
“Innovation, marketing excellence and customer service are
the three pillars of our business and are the reasons why we continue
to maintain and strengthen our leadership position as the pace-setter
in the lighting industry,” said Rob Looye, Marketing Manager
Philips Lighting international sales.
At the Middle East Electricity Exhibition, Philips Lighting will
present a range of innovative products and developments in the lighting
industry that can be implemented in a variety of professional applications.
Philips will highlight lighting solutions for offices, retail shops,
roads and city beautification projects.
“The challenge facing Philips is to offer solutions in all
sorts of situations that will create appealing lighting experiences.
We see massive demand for lighting solutions across the Middle East
region,” Looye added.
Last year, Middle East Electricity attracted 550 exhibitors from
around the world and drew more than 11,000 key decision makers.
Nearly half (48%) of these visitors came specifically to meet lighting
companies.
