Process Solutions hosts first User Group Conference in the Middle
East

Conference Features Wide Array of Activities
Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) kicked off its first Users Group
Conference in Bahrain yesterday. More than 100 users of Honeywell
systems, products and services are expected to attend the three-day
event. This marks the first time that Honeywell has hosted a Users
Group conference in the Middle East.
“I am delighted that we have gotten this event underway in
Bahrain,” says Jerry Walker, Vice President and General Manager
Honeywell Process Solutions EMEA. “With many of our key customers
expanding their operations in this region, it is only right that
we hold a special local event to meet the specific needs of our
large user community in the Middle East.”
The Honeywell Users Group conferences are recognized for being
among the best technical conferences in the world. The HPS conference
lives up to its reputation, featuring a wide array of activities
for users and Honeywell representatives alike. Attendees may participate
in industry-specific breakout sessions and topical panel discussions,
and listen to presentations by their peers and Honeywell specialists
about HPS products and services.
“Honeywell Users Group conferences are unique events organized
for the customers but also by the customers. Honeywell is only involved
in the logistics of the event, our customers are the ones setting
the agenda.” says Walker. “This creates an excellent
forum for customers to discuss their experiences of Honeywell systems
and solutions with their peers and at the same time give valuable
feedback to the Honeywell representatives.”
The conference also features a Demo Room, an extensive and lively
exhibit hall whose informal atmosphere encourages networking among
attendees. It is here where Honeywell’s latest solutions will
be on display and where a number of Honeywell experts are available
to give personal presentations.
“I anticipate that the Demo Area will be an extremely popular
and greatly appreciated focal point of the conference,” said
Hussain Al-Atrakchi, General Manager Honeywell Middle East. “It
will give our local customers a unique opportunity to assess the
latest Honeywell solutions – both hardware and software.”
Honeywell’s latest automation solution, the Experion™
Process Knowledge System (PKS) will be on prominent display in the
Demo Room. Honeywell representatives will demonstrate how Experion
can control the entire scope of production, addressing the needs
of operations, maintenance, engineering, and business. They will
also explain the benefits of integration with a process knowledge
system, which allows for site-wide information, management, and
workflow optimization.
The next EMEA Users Group Symposium will take place in Nice, France
this October and will be the 17th HPS Users Group event this year.
