INCREASING RECOVERY FACTORS IN CARBONATE RESERVOIRS - HOW FAR CAN WE GO?

6 - 9 June 2004
Grand Hyatt Hotel
Muscat, Sultanate of Oman

This ATW will be held in Muscat between 7 and 9 June 2004 and will provide an opportunity to discuss and exchange practical techniques to overcome a wide range of relevant problems facing professionals dealing with “Increasing Recovery Factors in Carbonate Reservoirs - How Far Can We Go?”

This event will begin with an Icebreaker on the evening of 6 June 2004, with the workshop taking place over the following three days, 7 - 9 June 2004.

Additionally, workshop delegates will attend The “New Technology: Who Should Bring It and Why?” Panel Discussion and Dinner organized by the SPE Oman Section, on the evening of 8 June 2004.

The Steering Committee has chosen a highly relevant topic and a format that will allow for a high proportion of in-depth technical discussion in four concurrent “break-out” groups”. All attendees will be expected to contribute actively to the discussion and to be prepared to talk about their own experience.

In addition, the Steering Committee welcomes applications from professionals who are able to prepare and present a poster on a relevant project. Posters add considerable depth to an ATW, and poster presenters are expected to be present during breaks to discuss their poster topic with other attendees.
