Contract
award for Ethylene Plant in Kuwait

The Dow Chemical Company, (Dow) and Petrochemical Industries Company,
Kuwait (PIC) have contracted Technip USA Corporation, a fully owned
affiliate of Technip, to provide engineering services covering cracking
furnaces and the recovery section of the new Ethylene Plant, planned
for the Olefins-2 Petrochemicals Complex to be constructed in Shuaiba,
Kuwait which is a Joint Venture between Dow and PIC.
The plant will be designed based on Technip’s ethylene technology
provided by Technip Claremont in California.
The selection of Technip ethylene technology is recognition by
Dow (world’s largest ethylene producer) and PIC of Technip’s
capabilities in process technology, design and engineering of world
scale ethylene plants.
