Gala award ceremony at Burj Al Arab on 29th May
The finale of the Emirates Businesswomen’s Award 2004 will
take place on 29th May when two winners will receive their awards
at a glittering ceremony at the Burj Al Arab.
In its second year, the Emirates Businesswomen’s Award is
a joint initiative of Shell and the Dubai Quality Group with the
main aim of recognising the achievements of national and expatriate
women who have made an indelible mark in the business and professional
sector in the UAE.
The entries were evaluated by an independent consultancy –
Sikologia – and a panel of judges who reviewed each application
and conducted an indepth assessment of how the applicants measured
up against the criteria. The criteria included style of leadership;
future goals of the business; professional and career achievements
as well as community participation.
Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum,
Chairman, Emirates Group and President, Dubai Department of Civil
Aviation, the Emirates Businesswomen’s Award is also supported
by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Emirates
Businesswomen’s Council.
