Jacobs
receives contract from BP in Texas

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that they were selected
by BP to provide front-end and design engineering, procurement,
and construction management (EPCM) services as the EPCM Optimization
Program contractor for BP's refinery in Texas City, Texas.
Officials did not disclose the contract value.
This program, which aims to improve the efficiency and delivery
of small capital projects, mirrors Jacobs' successful relationships
at BP's facilities in Carson, California, and Grangemouth, Scotland.
Jacobs has also executed numerous small and medium-sized capital
projects at BP's Texas City refinery.
In announcing the start of the program, Jacobs Group Vice President
Pete Evans said, "This is an important step in our ongoing
relationship with BP. We are excited about our role in BP's South
Houston Enterprise and are confident that the BP/Jacobs team will
achieve their 1000-Day Goals for capital productivity and project
excellence."
