OMV is launching OMV Move & Help, the largest charity campaign
in the Group’s history, in aid of educational projects for
children and teenagers.
The oil company’s Move & Help project is aimed at giving
children and young people with difficult backgrounds a chance to
shape their own futures. The broad-based campaign is built around
the :-) smiley. OMV will be appealing to its customers, employees
and the general public in all of the countries where it operates
to raise money for educational projects.
There are a variety of ways to make a donation, ranging from simply
sending an SMS or buying a charity t-shirt at an OMV filling station
or over the internet through to traditional collecting tins. And
in line with the company’s “move & more” slogan,
employees and the OMV World Rally Team will also be doing their
bit.
Adopting sustainable business practices is one of the biggest challenges
facing businesses today. It means shouldering responsibility for
all areas of modern life. It involves awareness of corporate social
responsibility and acting on it.
This is what OMV is doing. As a globally active company it is confronted
with widely varying living standards in the countries where it operates.
In many, a large part of the population lives in poverty. One way
out is through education.
Because of this, OMV has decided to team up with experienced international
aid organizations to support selected educational projects in OMV
countries.
In the words of CEO Wolfgang Ruttenstorfer: “We at OMV recognize
that we also have social responsibility and therefore, we decided
to set up a full-scale charity programme. With the Move & Help
programme, we managed to get important partners on board, in order
to move forward educational projects for children and teenagers.
We want to see that these children and teenagers get a chance of
a better future.”
Expert partners
As the partners of the OMV Move & Help campaign, Caritas, HOPE’87

Villages provide an assurance of professional project implementation.
