Anadarko Petroleum Corporation announced several senior management
changes. The company named Robert P. Daniels and Mark L. Pease as
Senior Vice Presidents, Exploration and Production, to oversee worldwide
activities.
Daniels will be responsible for the company's international and
growth assets, and Pease will be responsible for the company's North
American foundation assets. Both will report to Jim Hackett, Anadarko
President and CEO. Daniels, who is currently based in Calgary, will
relocate to Houston.
"Bob and Mark are integral members of Anadarko's senior management
team," Hackett said. "I have complete confidence in their
capabilities, and know each will excel in their new roles."
Daniels, currently Vice President, Canada, joined Anadarko in 1985
as a geologist and held positions of increasing responsibility until
he was named to his current position in 2001. He holds a master's
degree in petroleum geology from the Colorado School of Mines and
earned a bachelor's degree in economics from The Colorado College.
Daniels has served on the Board of Governors of the Canadian Association
of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) and was the Chair of the Northern
Executive Policy Group for CAPP.
Pease, currently Vice President, U.S. Onshore and Offshore, joined
Anadarko in 1979 as an engineer and held positions of increasing
responsibility until he was named Vice President, Algeria in 1998.
In 2001, he returned to Houston where he has served as Vice President,
Engineering and Technology, and Vice President, International and
Alaska Operations. Pease received his bachelor's degree in petroleum
engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He is a member of
the Society of Petroleum Engineers and is a licensed Professional
Engineer.
Michael O. Bridges, currently Chief Engineer, will replace Daniels
as President, Anadarko Canada Company, and will report to Pease.
"Mike has demonstrated outstanding leadership throughout his
career at Anadarko. I'm certain he will do well in his new position
in Canada," Pease said.
Bridges joined Anadarko in 1981 as an engineer and has worked in
various engineering and supervisory roles until he was named Division
Production Manager of the Midland office in 1998. He returned to
Houston in 2001 and has served as Chief Engineer since that time.
Bridges received his bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering
from Texas Tech University. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum
Engineers and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
The company also announced today that Mario M. Coll, III will join
Anadarko as Vice President, Information Technology Services and
Chief Information Officer. He will report to Bobby Reeves, Anadarko
Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Law.
"We're pleased that Mario will be joining Anadarko. His technical
and strategic planning experience will be an asset in leading the
information technology group," Reeves said.
Coll served as Chief Information Officer and Vice President Information
Management with Devon Energy from 2003 to 2004 and as Vice President,
Operational Planning and Chief Information Officer with Ocean Energy
from 1997 to 2003. He brings 20 years of domestic and international
engineering and operations, strategic planning and information management
experience to this position through his service with Mobil Exploration
and Production, Ocean Energy and Devon Energy. Coll holds a bachelor's
degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University.
In conjunction with these organizational changes, Richard J. Sharples,
Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Marketing, and Morris
L. Helbach, Vice President, Information Technology Services and
Chief Information Officer, have elected to retire. Additionally,
James J. Emme, Vice President, Exploration, has elected to resign.
