Solutions receives ISO 9001: 2000 certification

Healthcare Solutions (HCS), a leading provider of healthcare information
solutions and services in the Middle East, and part of the Al Babtain
Group, has recently been awarded ISO 9001: 2000 Certification, making
it the first healthcare services provider in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation
Council) to receive this honour.
The certification validates HCS’ pioneering work and ability
to deliver international recognized quality services in the region’s
competitive medical solutions market.
Healthcare Solutions, whose list of clients include Department
of Health and Medical Services (DOHMS) in Dubai, has been involved
in several crucial healthcare projects in the region. The company
was partly responsible for setting up DOHM’s Integrated Healthcare
Information System (IHIS), which allows networking and system integration
of Dubai’s four major public hospitals and 20 healthcare centres
with DOHMS, for which it received a ‘Best Performance’
award.
Commenting on the ISO certification, Amr Mostafa, General Manager,
Healthcare Solutions, stated, “Being the first healthcare
service provider in the GCC to be ISO 9001:2000 certified is a formidable
achievement. This certification offers clear proof of an organization’s
adherence to quality management practices. HCS has been seen to
satisfy the stringent requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 supervisory
board with respect to the standardized system and procedures put
in place, to govern the delivery of a quality assurance with every
solution and service provided to our customers. This certification
further strengthens our commitment to customer satisfaction and
continual improvement.”

ISO 9001:2000 is a set of international standard and guidance documents
for quality management and quality assurance. The standard represents
an international consensus on good management practices with the
aim of ensuring that the organization can, time and time again,
deliver the product or services that meet the client’s quality
requirements.
