opens new facility in Dubai Investment Park

3CMetal has been operating a steel fabrication
workshop in Pau (France) since 1995 and has recently opened a
second facility at Dubai Investment Park (Green Community), at
2 km from JAFZ.
The company specialises in general oilfield
and marine steel fabrication work with an emphasis on high
pressure piping.
The business is centred around two main activities:
- Workshop steel fabrication work
- Site installation and maintenance
work
Facilities
The facilities consist of a covered workshop of 2,000 m² with
two 10 T. overhead cranes (20 T. lifting capacity) and one 5 T.
overhead crane. The workshop is subdivided into a general fabrication
section of 1,200 m² and a piping fabrication section of 600
m².
The company has 600 m² of offices, including a design and
engineering section on Inventor Professional (Autocad 3D modelling
software).
The facilities are located on an open road-based yard
of 18,000 m² with ample space to accommodate two complete
landrigs adequate for rig-up, refurbishment and commissioning work.
The
workshop is equipped with all necessary machinery to undertake
any kind of oilfield steel fabrication i.e. shearing, bending,
rolling, drilling, welding, bandsaw, pressure testing machines
and post weld heat treatment equipment with chart recorder for
the high pressure piping. 3CMetal holds a substantial stock of
high pressure piping, grade X52 and 4130, ranging from 2” to
5” XXS and a large quantity of high pressure valves and fittings
(including hammer unions).
3CMetal is in the process of being API Q1/ISO-9001 certified.

The company is dedicated to pursuing quality, efficiency and adequate
safety management, with a qualified and motivated multinational
workforce
of Romanian,
Malaysian and Indian welders and fitters. Site
installation work
3CMetal International has a dedicated team of about 40 European
welders and fitters who are exclusively assigned to site modification,
installation and repair work on land and offshore rigs, ships
and production facilities.
Technically supported from offices
in France and Dubai, the company can undertake overseas and
local assignments for site steel fabrication work.
Recent 3CMetal projects include:
- Lumpsum replacement of a BMC-900 offshore crane on drilling
rig Dhabi-II by a BMC-1200 in Abu-Dhabi, including Class
approvals.
- Design, engineering, supply and installation
of a mud tank system
for Total ABK in Abu-Dhabi.
- Supply, install and test high pressure
and CuproNickel seawater piping on the Kizomba-A platform
in Rotterdam.
- Design, engineering, supply, installation
and certification of overboard testing lines on drilling
rig Rani Woro in Jebel-Ali.
- Design, engineering, fabrication
and installation of temporary wellhead platforms on Sth.Pars
jackets for
Statoil, offshore
Iran.
- Fabrication and installation of a fast moving landrig
pony substructure for NWD in Libya.
- Repair to a high
pressure standpipe manifold for Pride International in
Siberia.
- Supply, prefabrication and installation of all
high pressure piping on DPDS Pride Africa and Pride Angola
