opens new purpose built facilty at Jebel Ali Free Zone

Rollstud officially opened its new purpose built manufacturing
facility in the Jebal Ali Free zone on Thusday 27th May 2004
Rollstud has been manufacturing a wide range of bolts and fasteners
in all sizes finishes and grades of material from premises in Sharjah
for the past seven years.
In order satisfy customer demand larger a more conveniently located
facility was required and Jebel Ali Free Zone met the company’s
critera.
“In the past we had been operating primarily through traders
but there has been a definite swing towards end user trading and
now more than 90 per cent of our business is carried out direct
to end users. Over the years we have built up a substantial number
of pre-qualified agreements with the major regional companies and
our new location will help to increase this. Indeed a significant
number of our customers are now our neighbors,” said Harry
Hepburn, Base Manager for Rollstud.
The new plant will allow Rollstud to greatly reduce delivery times,
which in turn will improve customer satisfaction.
“The new facilities have also allowed Rollstud to increase
its stock holdings by over 200 per cent so availability of products
is also improved and this is obviously a factor in the improved
delivery times,” said Hepburn.
Rollstud are co located with a Flexiflo but this is purely an
administrative arrangement and is a result of a close association
between the two company Directors.
“As a result of the expansion phases and in order to cope
with the extra demand and allow Rollstud to aggressively enter
emerging markets such as Iran it has been necessary to increase
staff. Throughout the remainder of this year staffing levels will
almost double in size,” said Hepburn.
Rollstud will also be installing new machine processes before
the end of the year which will further increase its capability
and capacity.

Asia and the Middle East Rollstud is truly a global player.
The company also operates in strict accordance with ISO9001 200.
