J. Ray McDermott starts work on Dolphin platforms

J. Ray McDermott , S.A. has begun work on the Dolphin Energy wellhead platforms ahead of schedule.
The commencement of fabrication of the DOL1 jacket was marked by the cutting of the first steel plate at J. Ray's Jebel Ali yard.
'We are proud to be associated with the Dolphin project, which is an important initiative towards development of energy supplies between the United Arab Emirates and Qatar ,' said Hafez Aghili, president, J. Ray McDermott Middle East.
The project, valued at over US$190 million, comprises Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) of two integrated drilling and production platforms for Qatar 's North Dome field.
