Inaugural US Libyan Summit

The Inaugural US Libyan Summit, 6-7 September, 2004, Geneva, will be held in co-operation with the International Energy Advisory Council (IEAC)
This inaugural summit will gather all major representatives from the Libyan economy e.g. NOC, Electricity, Power Generation, Banking, Finance, Tourism, Industry, Telecoms, Computing, Healthcare and Agriculture.
This has been directed/instructed/decreed to the IEAC by the Libyan Deputy Foreign Minister for International Co-operation.
For the first time the Libyan private sector will be represented by the
Libyan Businessmen's Council.
Key issues to be discussed include:
- Economic developments in Libya: The reform programme and plans for liberalisation
- Public and private sector co-operation
- The future role of international partnerships and joint ventures
- Potential for upstream cooperation between NOC's and IOC's · Latest increases in Libya's oil-producing capacity
- Plus other important issues to be announced.
This unique event will reflect a significant spirit of change in the US
Libyan relationship and the opening of opportunities and cooperation
between the US and Libyan markets.
