Scotland-based service first phase of global expansion plan
EV Offshore Ltd, a leading provider of camera inspection systems, today announced that for the first time it is offering a 24-hour call-out facility in Aberdeen to service those operating in the UKCS. The move to offer call-out services in Scotland with a portion of its new fleet of CamScan EVO2 camera inspection systems is the first phase of EV Offshore’s plans to expand globally.
The Norwich-based camera inspection specialist has based a fleet of CamScan EVO2 camera inspection systems in Dyce, Aberdeen, Scotland in co-operation with Duffy McGovern. The equipment can be readily mobilised for emergency or planned inspections. By dedicating a fleet of CamScan systems to Aberdeen and the North Sea, EV Offshore can transport the equipment to the heliport or docks within a matter of hours from the time the customer’s mobilization request is received.
“Having a presence in Aberdeen marks an important milestone for us, in keeping with our plan to deploy CamScan EVO2 camera inspection systems to truly serve the worldwide offshore oil and gas industry,” said David Clover, Director of EV Offshore. “This call-out facility demonstrates our commitment to current and future clients that we will continue to deliver quality service, combined with fast mobilisation to properly service the UKCS,” he added.
The next step in EV Offshore’s strategic expansion plan is to open a dedicated base in Aberdeen. The specific site will be announced later this year.
The new CamScan EVO2 system, which debuted at Oceanology International in London in March, is the latest addition to the EV
Offshore’s CamScan family of subsea camera inspection systems. It was also showcased at OTC 2004 in May, along with the new Drill Pipe Camera-running Tool. The system is useful for any number of inspection purposes, including internal inspection of wellheads during completions and workovers.
