Honeywell supports first Fieldbus Foundation End User Council Middle East meeting

Three day event to be held in Bahrain

Honeywell is one of several sponsors supporting the Fieldbus Foundation End User Council – Middle East’s (FFEUC-ME) inaugural meeting ‘Multaqa 2004’ in Manama, Bahrain this September.

The Fieldbus Foundation is a non-profit organization consisting of over 350 leading process and manufacturing automation companies worldwide whose major purpose is to provide an open and neutral environment for the development of a single, international, interoperable fieldbus. “The meeting is set to bring international Fieldbus Foundation (FF) experts together in the Middle East region to share experiences with end user participants, which is why this is a great event that we want to support,” said Hussain Al-Atrakchi, Regional General Manager & Executive Director Middle East for Automation and Control Solutions Honeywell Middle East.

“Our participation in Multaqa 2004 enhances our commitment to our clients in the region and will also demonstrate Honeywell Process Solutions’ Experion FF project experience in the Middle East.”

The three-day event will run from September 13 – 15 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Bahrain. The meeting will include a dedicated full day of Fieldbus training. This course is recommended for instrument and control professionals who are interested in FF technology, but have limited experience.  The End User Council meeting will be held September 14 & 15 and will include end user presentations, and evening social, and vendor table top exhibits.

Honeywell Process Solutions will be participating in Power-Gen Middle East 2004, the region's most important annual power industry event, being held in Bahrain for the first time in its three year history since its launch in 2002 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The exhibition, conference and Multaqa 2004 are being held alongside each other and will attract industry professional from more than 130 local and international companies.
