2004 edition to feature 11 national pavilions
ADIPEC (Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference) the highly successful Oil & Gas show organised by the GEC (General Exhibitions Corporation) and held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Supreme Petroleum Council, has received glowing tributes from the international diplomatic and business community.
Building on its stupendous success over the past years, the 2004 edition to be held in Abu Dhabi 10th – 13th October will feature; 11 national pavilions, including debut pavilions from 5 countries.
Describing ADIPEC as an outstanding platform, H.E. Juergen Steltzer, German Ambassador to the UAE said "The close ties between Germany and the UAE have received a further boost recently through a series of high ranking government visits. The German industry has premium technology to offer for the breathtaking development of refinery and industrial capacity in the UAE and the Gulf. ADIPEC is an outstanding platform to put these capabilities on display and monitor the regional market." Germany will be represented via a national pavilion at ADIPEC.
"Over the years ADIPEC has grown into a world-class oil and gas exhibition. It is only natural that the United Kingdom with its own oil and gas background would want to be fully involved with ADIPEC. We are very proud of the fact that we have not only had a major stand at ADIPEC over the years, but that there are also a large number of UK and UK-related companies who have their own stands. This widespread involvement reflects the long-standing commitment that UK Plc has to Abu Dhabi and the UAE. We enjoy an excellent bilateral relationship. Long may it continue" said John Gardner Head of UK Trade and Investment, British Embassy, UAE.
Besides the above countries, national pavilions are also participating from Canada , the US , Iran and Italy . Further, pavilions from China , India , France , Russia and Spain are making their debut at this year’s show.
“We are honoured at the accolades and pleased with the response we have received from the global business and diplomatic community. The fact that ADIPEC has managed to attract a significant number of national pavilions from around the world proves that this event has come to occupy a pre-eminent status among oil & gas industry events held worldwide” said Mr. Ahmad Humaid Al Mazrouie, Acting Director General, General Exhibitions Corporation.
The last edition of ADIPEC was held in 2002 and drew 935 exhibitors and over 20,000 visitors.
