HP Reinforces Commitment To SMBs by Using GITEX Platform To Launch Advisory Services For SMBs
Posted: 29 September 2004
HP has announced the launch of a unique advisory service for Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs), “Start Smart, Grow Smart’ with a view to match their evolving business needs with appropriate technologies. The special programme, ‘Free GITEX Advice Service’, is open to entrepreneurs and proprietors of companies located across the Middle East region. Interested parties can log onto www.hp.com/me/freeadvice to register for their free one-on-one session.
Announcing details of this programme, which will run the course of GITEX 2004, Hamid Hassan, SMB Manager, HP Middle East, said that SMBs comprised a growing segment of HP's regional audience, and that they would continue to be a key focus area for the company, for a while to come: "Across the world, HP is always looking for opportunities to support small and medium businesses. In the belief that technology is their lifeline, we will facilitate their best performance in the best way we can, "he said.
He also explained how HP's Advice Service could help in making a difference to regional SMBs. "As the leader in information technology, HP has the expertise to deliver a total solution that adapts to both current and future needs of any business. We have already launched the Smart Office II portfolio of solutions which will also be part of our expertise package showcased at GITEX.
At HP, we work together with SMBs to design customised solutions that combine flexibility and open standards with a comprehensive range of services and products," he stated.
"We begin the programme by assessing a company's current requirements and then, we help identify the right set of strategies to help them reach their goals by offering cost-effective, scalable solutions. HP has a wide portfolio of services and solutions that cater to the requirements of different types, sizes and kinds of businesses, at various phases of their development."
Hassan said that the Advice Service team hoped to welcome large number of regional SMBs to the HP stand at GITEX, where the service will be made available for the duration of the exhibition. The team of experts is set to provide patrons with tailor-made IT prescriptions, specifically designed for the IT ‘patient’ at hand.
While we have had an overwhelming response from small and medium sized companies, we believe that new companies and small start ups will particularly benefit from this service," he added.
