Downhole Products Company to unveil new tools at event

Downhole Products Plc of Scotland will be exhibiting on the Al Ghaith Oilfield Supplies and Services stand at ADIPEC 2004. Along with the Spir-o-lizer and Spir-o-mizer range of solid centralisers and Pen-o-trator reamer shoes will be a new range of casing accessories. Of these, the Cable Clamp Centraliser’s design and rugged construction keeps cables protected and securely attached to the pipe even in the most tortuous applications.
Also on display will be the new Blade Runner centraliser for the next generation of ERD wells. Blade Runners further reduce running forces and axial torque during liner rotation. Field tests recorded virtually zero start-up torque during rotation, thereby increasing successful liner rotation and quality of cementation.
Other new tools include MACS, Micro Annulus Cement Seal, a cost-effective solution which when installed onto casing or liners prevents the migration of oil, gas, water and pressure in the annulus. CCT or Cement Control Tool was designed to eliminate formation damage due to the free fall of cement during cementing operations. This tool was specifically designed for Adma-Opco and is currently awaiting field trials.
George McRobbie, Middle East Area Manager and Ali Clark will be on hand to answer questions on both the new and existing ranges of best in class quality casing and cementing accessories.
The company’s branch in Abu Dhabi serves as the regional headquarters for the Middle East and accommodates a substantial stock of Downhole Products’ equipment.
