OMV ISTRABENZ becomes OMV ADRIATIK

Following the takeover of OMV ISTRABENZ Holding d.d. by OMV R&M GmbH, a change in the name and legal-organisation of the holding company OMV ISTRABENZ Holding d.d. was adopted by the relevant authorities in Slovenia . The new name of the company is OMV ADRIATIK, holdinška družba, d.o.o. The company is represented by Wolfgang Kraus as Director and by Karl Strummer as Procurist. Koper , Slovenia , remains the corporate headquarters.
The renaming into OMV ADRIATIK is in line with the OMV Group's strategy of linking the names of its subsidiaries to their countries of origin. OMV ISTRABENZ Holding was the first company to have its name changed.This will be followed by the renaming of OMV's other subsidiaries.
Along with the change of company name, there was also a change in the legal-organisational of the company: OMV ADRIATIK, holdinška družba is from now on a limited liability company (Ltd). The OMV Adriatik Group sells some 900,000 metric tons of oil products per annum with a workforce of 298 employees. By May 2004 it operated 228 filling stations – 83 in Italy , 105 in Slovenia , 30 in Croatia and 10 in Bosnia and Herzegovina . Consolidated sales of the Group amount to approximately EUR 380 mn per year. OMV ISTRABENZ supplies a market with 17 mn inhabitants, whose estimated annual consumption of oil products is around 15 mn metric tons.
