Introducing Offshore Arabia Magazine – the voice of RECSO
The Offshore Arabia Conference and Exhibition which ended today saw the launch of a new publication – Offshore Arabia Magazine – designed to support the aims and activities of the Regional Clean Sea Organisation (RECSO).
Held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from November 29-December 1, the event attracted delegates and exhibitors from around the world.
The Offshore Arabia Magazine editorial team will provide detailed coverage of companies participating in the conference and exhibition in the forthcoming edition of Offshore Arabia Magazine.
The new magazine, published by Reflex Publishing, is a mix of news, comment and information on environmental issues that concern the energy and marine sectors.
It acts as a conduit for transferring knowledge and expertise between companies involved in the energy and marine industries, and for enhancing cooperation between the member companies and organisations making up RECSO.
Offshore Arabia has a controlled circulation among subscribers to ensure that the high quality information reaches a carefully targeted readership of decision makers in the industry.
Khamis J. Bu-Amim, Chairman of RECSO and Editor-in-Chief of the new magazine, said: “The marine environment is a precious gift. It is also a precious legacy that we must hand down in good order to our children for generation upon generation to come.
The actions we take now will shape the world in which they have to live for good or for ill. We must ensure it is for the good.
In RECSO we have an organisation committed to preserving this valuable asset. Now, with the launch of Offshore Arabia Magazine, this organisation will be able to use it as a vehicle to communicate, enhance, cooperate and navigate the seas of change.
We shall highlight and praise the positive actions taken by the oil industry and individuals to rid our seas of pollution.
At the same time we shall work closely with International, Regional and National levels to help in improving our environment and proactively be in a preventive mode rather than a reactive mode.
RECSO has pledged its commitment to the concept of clean seas. Our motto is ‘Maintaining a Healthy Offshore’ and we will continue our drive for safety, environment, technical excellence and good business practices.
Offshore Arabia Magazine will be with them all the way.”
