Qserv was founded in November 2001 by a privately owned management team to provide quality well, wireline and pipeline services. The company employs more than 135 permanent staff, which includes 80 offshore operational staff, from its ten-acre site on the Badentoy Industrial Estate in Portlethen, Aberdeen .
Qserv operates in the UKCS, Qatar , Norway , Denmark , Indonesia and has worked in 13 European and East European countries. Clients in Qserv’s portfolio include ADTI, Anadarko, Apache, Baker Petrolite, BP, Chevron Texaco, ConocoPhillips, Dong, ExxonMobil, Lundin, Petro Canada , Talisman, Technip, UWG and Venture.
This family-owned, local business is focused on delivering results and has an energetic and motivated team, headed up by managing director Tommy Dreelan with his three brothers. More than £15 million has been invested in the company, which provides local investment in jobs and equipment manufacture. The majority of equipment used by Qserv is built in the UK and locally in the Aberdeen area. Due to growing business and contract wins, an additional £5 million has been invested in wireline, coiled tubing and pumping equipment and facilities in 2004, in conjunction with the additional workshops and warehouses being built on the Badentoy site.
The well services division of Qserv offers a range of services including coiled tubing, pumping, wireline, engineering and subsea well intervention. Qserv also provides the complete range of services for project engineering, pipeline and process precommissioning, decommissioning, nitrogen services, helium leak detection, fired heater cleaning and industrial services.
Qserv maintains and operates a stringent HSEQ Management System and since the company was founded there have been zero lost time injuries. Achievements include QMA.ISO 9001 – 2000 Certification gained in March 2002, EMS.ISO 14001 – Certification gained in October 2002, SMS.OHSAS 18001 & SCC Certification gained in January 2003 and BSC Award – National Safety Award.
