Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, the 5th Doha Conference on Natural Gas will beheld from 28 February to 3 March 2005 at the Sheraton Hotel and Resort in Doha.
The Doha Conference on Natural Gas has become a not-to-be-missed event on the natural gas calendar due to the exceptional developments Qatar has accomplished and the rapid growth the industry is witnessing.
The 3 day conference, organized by Qatar Petroleum, is expected to attract key industry figures from the region and from around the world.
“Stretching Frontiers’ is the theme of the 5th Doha Conference on Natural Gas which reflects the pioneering nature of the gas industry in Qatar, in particular the developments in the fields of LNG and gas-to-liquids (GTL) where state-of-the art technologies and facilities are being employed.
The conference will also be a chance for foreign investors to pursue partnership opportunities with Qatar Petroleum, especially in the gas-related industries, and to learn more of developments within the industry both in Qatar and around the world.
With gas increasingly being seen as an alternative to oil, the conference provides a forum to address the issues confronting the industry and the program will have broad appeal to all sectors of the gas industry.
Issues to be discussed will include the marketing and technology related to LNG and GTL, trends in global energy, health, safety and environment considerations, future gas applications as well as factors influencing project development.
Adjacent to the conference at the Qatar International Exhibition Center will be the Doha International Oil and Gas Exhibition showcasing the latest products, services and technologies.
