Ministerial meeting may be moved

Opec is considering an Iraqi request to move the date of its planned January 30 ministerial meeting to avoid a clash with the Iraqi elections, an Opec delegate said, according to a Reuters report.
"There has been a formal request from Iraq which now has to be considered by all the ministers," the delegate was quoted as having said.
The meeting could either be moved forward by a few days, or postponed until the first week of February, the delegate said. An Opec spokesman declined to comment.
Ministers from Opec were expected to consider production cuts at the January 30 meeting to prevent stocks building too fast and pulling down prices.
