Bapco finalised USD1bn finance package

Bahrain Petroleum Company has finalised a USD1bn package to finance its strategic investment programme. The last block of Export Credit Agency support financing, worth USD311m, has been awarded to HSBC, BNP Paribas and Mizhuo.
HSBC has been appointed ECA agent, while BNP Paribas has been named as ECA documentation agent.
A group of nine international, regional and local banks have already been appointed for USD370m commercial and USD330m Islamic lease facilities.
Further, reports suggest that a limited syndication will be announced shortly.
