BHP Billiton Extends Contract with Petrofac

Petrofac has been awarded a 5-year extension of its current contract with BHP Billiton for onshore and offshore operations manpower and construction services to the Liverpool Bay Asset.
The contract, worth £65m, is an extension of the original 10-year contract and became effective on 1 December 2004 . The asset comprises the Douglas and the OSI Installations and the Point of Ayr Terminal.
Commenting on the award, Mike Henderson, Operations Support Director, for Petrofac Facilities Management Europe said, “We are pleased to have been working with BHP for the past ten years. This extension is confirmation of the excellent working relationship we have established and testimony of the service alignment achieved by Petrofac’s onshore and offshore teams.”
Mike Kelly, Liverpool Bay Asset Manager for BHP Billiton said, “Petrofac has consistently provided high quality personnel to Liverpool Bay . They have demonstrated their professionalism and commitment to the asset since project start-up. We look forward to continuing the strong working relationship and identifying opportunities to further enhance asset performance.”
