Honeywell Inaugurates The Largest Integration Center In The Middle East

Honeywell, a global, leading provider of products and services for the oil and gas and energy sectors, inaugurated its Integration Center at the Center for Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT) in Abu Dhabi today. The new center is dedicated to the verification and testing of automation systems for Middle East-based customers, a technical exercise previously performed only in the United States and Europe . HE Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, UAE Minister of Education, presided over the inauguration.
“The expansion of the Integration Center is proof of Honeywell growth in the Middle East ,” said Jerry Walker, vice president of Global Operations, Honeywell Process Solutions. “Our local capabilities will increasingly become the most important factor differentiating us from our competitors in the region.”
The Integration Center spans more than 1,000 square meters and includes an additional 230- square meter facility that already existed. During the last two years, this facility has been used to stage and test systems for Gasco, Adgas and other Middle East-based clients. Testing and verification activities are currently underway in the new integration center for customers such as Aramco Juyamah Plant, Adco North East Bab (NEB) and Qafco.

Honeywell has expanded its operations in the Middle East thanks to several new contract wins. The company recently secured contracts with Middle East Shell Qatar GTL to automate two offshore gas production platforms in Qatar ’s North Gas Field and a large onshore gas processing plant in Ras Laffan Industrial City , Qatar . Honeywell also received a contract with JGC, Japan ’s largest engineering contractor. In this project, Honeywell will provide integrated control and safety systems for Dolphin Energy Limited, a joint venture including Total, Occidental Petroleum and Mubadala Development Company.
Honeywell’s other customers in the Middle East include Aramco, Adnoc, Zadco, Adgas, Gasco, Adco, KJO, Sabic, Alba, KOC, KNPC, Equate, SEC, QP, Qafco, Qapco, Q-Chem, QVC, PDO, Dolphin Energy Project, GPIC and many more.
