Exxonmobil Chemical Plans To Add A New Production Line

To help satisfy increasing demand for Santoprene(TM) thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV), ExxonMobil Chemical plans to add a new production line at its Pensacola , Fla. manufacturing site. The expansion is expected to be operational by mid 2006.

"This expansion demonstrates ExxonMobil Chemical's ongoing commitment to the elastomers business," said Mary Ahner, vice president, Ethylene Elastomers, ExxonMobil Chemical. "It allows us to meet the growing demand for these innovative, high-quality products."

Santoprene TPV is a recyclable elastomer commonly used in the appliance, automotive, construction, consumer goods, electrical, fluid delivery and medical industries.

ExxonMobil Chemical offers customers one of the industry's broadest portfolios of elastomer products. This includes Vistalon EPDM (conventional and metallocene catalyst), Exxelor modifiers, Vistamaxx specialty elastomers and Exact plastomers.
