Oil & Gas Industry Leaders at MEOS 2005

Key players in the oil and gas industry are making final preparations for the 14 th Society of Petroleum Engineers Middle East Oil & Gas Show (MEOS 2005) due to take place from 12 to 15 March 2005 at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.
Held under the patronage of HH the Prime Minister of Bahrain Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, over 280 companies from 21 countries have signed up for the exhibition of hardware and services.
Spanning 12,000 square metre of space, key participants making a return appearance include GCC national oil companies: Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) and the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco).
International oil companies also maintain a strong presence with ChevronTexaco, ExxonMobil, Petronas and Shell occupying significant exhibition space. Service industry giants Compagnie Générale de Géophysique (CGG), Halliburton, Weatherford and Schlumberger amongst others consolidate this line up in addition to dedicated UK , Wales and USA pavilions and smaller specialist suppliers and distributors.
New to MEOS 2005 is official representation from the Iraqi Ministry of Oil. In addition to taking space on the exhibition floor, the Iraqi Minister of Oil H.E. Thamer Abbas Ghadban has confirmed his participation as a speaker at the conference opening session on 12 March 2005 . A high-level delegation of government officials and private company representatives will also be attending the conference and exhibition, looking to interface with both regional and international counterparts.
The high level technical conference which runs parallel to the exhibition of products and services takes place this year under the theme Meeting the Glob al Demand Challenge. Organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers, up to 1,500 delegates are expected to pre-register.
MEOS 2005 will open to trade visitors from 9am to 6pm from 12 – 14 March and from 9am to 2pm on 15 March.
MEOS 2005 is organised by Arab ian Exhibition Management in association with London based Overseas Exhibition Services, both members of Allworld Exhibitions.
