EPPCO Wins Trade Sector Dubai Excellence Award

Awards Driving Force Behind Continuous Improvement In Dubai Industry
Emirates Petroleum Products Company (EPPCO) LLC, a subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) LLC, has taken the Trade Sector Dubai Quality Award for the second time.
The awards are presented to enterprises for excellence in different sectors of the economy by the Government of Dubai, Department of Economic Development, which sees them as the driving force behind quality and continuous improvement in Dubai industry.
This latest honour comes hard on the heels of EPPCO taking the Highly Commended trophy in the Brand Alliance category at the 2005 Gulf Marketing Review (GMR) Marketing Effectiveness Awards.
Hussain Sultan, Group Chief Executive and Board Member, ENOC, said: “As the Energy Partner of Choice, committed to excellence in all our operations, ENOC has supported the Dubai Quality Award scheme since it was launched in 1994.
“This recognition reflects the Group’s dedication to providing the highest level of customer focused service, the best continuous education for our staff, and our strategy of working in partnership to develop both the Group and the economy.
“The Dubai Quality Award model is seen as the quality roadmap for all organisations operating in the emirate in leading the city towards becoming a world class centre in every respect.
“It provides a benchmark from which management can build to achieve our vision for the Group’s future development. I would like to congratulate all the staff, and in particular those who put together our submission, for this admirable achievement.”
The award, which EPPCO last won in 1997, was presented by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum to Hussain Sultan at a ceremony at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
A team of 50 staff in 12 teams began work on various sections of the EPPCO submission from June until October last year.
The annual award scheme examines fundamental excellence in categories including customer focus, results orientation, management by process and fact, people development and involvement, continuous learning innovation and improvement, partnership development and corporate responsibility.
