ConocoPhillips Launches Tri-branded Gasoline Cards

ConocoPhillips today announced the launch of its new tri-branded proprietary personal and commercial gasoline credit cards. ConocoPhillips’ proprietary cardholders now have the ability to use one card at nearly 13,000 Phillips 66®, Conoco® and 76™ branded stations across the United States.
The new cards will be issued by Citibank ( South Dakota), N.A. to existing proprietary cardholders during the first quarter of 2005.
The new tri-branded cards will continue to offer the conveniences available with current cards, including pay-at-the-pump, no annual fee, multiple payment options, and online account management. Additionally, the personal card allows cardholders to access thousands of ATMs nationwide.
The face of the new card will feature the company’s three gasoline marketing brands -- Phillips 66®, Conoco® and 76™ -- while the ConocoPhillips logo will be on the back.
“Featuring our three widely recognized and well-respected brand logos reminds our customers that they may use this card to purchase Quality PROclean™ gasolines at a wide network of Phillips 66, Conoco and 76 locations across the country,” said Mark Harper, president of U.S. Marketing. “For ConocoPhillips, the introduction of the new cards enables the company to more effectively manage its personal and commercial credit card programs by reducing its number of card offerings from nine to three.”
Phillips 66, Conoco and 76 branded locations will be equipped with promotional materials to support the introduction of the new tri-branded gasoline cards and to educate consumers. To further promote the program, radio advertisements will run in select markets.
