ONGC to develop Western Offshore Block SB#11 on fast-track

ONGC is taking up development of Block SB#11, north-west of the giant Vasai (Bassein) gas field. Success of recent exploratory well SB#11 led to determination of in-place oil potential of about 30 Million Barrels (4.3 MMT).
The development scheme envisages a well platform with drilling of three wells for a peak production of about 3000 BOPD from the 1st quarter of 2007. The well fluid will go through a sub-sea pipeline to BPA Pr ocess Complex for processing and despatch to Uran Plant.
The fast-track development of Block SB#11 gas been approved by the ONGC Board with an estimated investment of Rs.219.77 Crore.
