Contractor for the Greater Gorgon upstream development selected

Technip Oceania Pty Ltd and J P Kenny Pty Ltd ( Perth), in a 50/50 joint venture, were selected as the front end engineering and design (FEED) and engineering, procurement, construction management (EPCM) contractor to the upstream facilities for the Greater Gorgon development.
The development is located approximately 70 -140 km offshore Western Australia at the North West Shelf in 220 -1,300m water depth and includes both the Gorgon and Jansz fields. These fields will supply gas to a 10 MTPA LNG facility on Barrow Island, and to the domestic market in the mainland.
The Greater Gorgon development, representing an US$11 billion investment, involves a joint venture which includes Chevron, Shell and ExxonMobil.
