New PIPEPHASE reporting system allow engineers to analyze data and present results using familiar Excel spreadsheets.
The SimSci-Esscor unit of Invensys Process Systems has announced the release of version 9.0 of its PIPEPHASE simulation program. Used in the design and analysis of oil and gas wells and associated production networks and processing facilities, PIPEPHASE software provides an integrated and extensible simulation solution for the upstream exploration and production industry.
Version 9.0 features an improved system for generating pressure volume temperature (PVT) data and for integrating user-added PVT data. This provides the flexibility to utilise in-house-developed or third-party property packages. Further enhancements to the software include a completely revamped reporting system and a new zipped file format to allow the creation and transfer of larger working documents.
Using the new reporting system, engineers can generate, analyse, and present results directly in Microsoft® Office Excel spreadsheets. Extensive use of hyperlinks allows for rapid and intuitive navigation enabling engineers to efficiently cross-reference a variety of results and pinpoint any inconsistencies.
The PIPEPHASE simulator rigorously models steady-state multiphase flow in oil and gas networks and pipeline systems. It is built with the power and flexibility to model applications ranging from the sensitivity analysis of key parameters in a single well, to a multiyear facilities planning study for an entire field. It covers the complete range of fluids encountered in the petroleum industry, including single-phase fluids and black oil, as well as compositional mixtures.
