OGS 2005 to provide oil and gas industry professionals with a platform to share and study innovations
With world oil prices reaching record highs, industries associated with and depending on the oil sector are left in a web of uncertainty. Technological advancements in the oil and gas industry can help source untapped reserves as well as simplify the extraction and refinement process.
OGS 2005, the premier Arab Oil and Gas Show which is to be held from November 7 to 9, 2005 , at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, will provide oil and gas industry professionals with an opportunity to share and learn from the latest advancements in technology for the oil and gas sector.
“The oil industry is at a very unpredictable and volatile stage. At times like this, it is crucial for members within the oil and gas industry to fortify the business relationships that have been built. OGS 2005 provides them with just that opportunity,” said Anselm Godinho, Managing Director, International Conferences and Exhibitions, organizers of the event.
“With the aim of continual improvement, there are several new technologies that will make the extraction process far more efficient as well as effective. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness first hand the technologies that are available to the oil and gas industry,” added Godinho.
Political changes, oil production output variations and findings of untapped reserves have all contributed to fluctuations in the price of oil. Pr ofessionals in and around the oil industry are insecure about the changes that would take place in the year to come and whether businesses will be able to remain profitable.
Oil price fluctuations have affected all areas of the industry, ranging from refining to transportation. “A number of these oil industry fluctuations have occurred after OGS 2005 was announced. Since then, I have received commendations from exhibitors who have said that the show is being held at an opportune time as it will help businesses benefit from the advancements in the technology sector.,” concluded Godinho.
