Iran : Another new gas field discovery

A huge gas field was discovered near the gas-rich region of Tange-Bijar in the western province of Ilam, official in charge of Ilam Gas Field Development Project announced Sunday.
Talking to IRNA, Manouchehr Zamanpour said that Iranian experts in charge of Ilam Gas Field Development Project have recently discovered the gas field named `Sekouran' by carrying out seismic operation.
Zamanpour added that type, capacity and other characteristics of the gas field will be made known soon.
Ilam gas refinery is under construction in the Tange-Bijar region, 25 kilometers west of the city of Ilam .
