Following successful completion of the implementation and trial period, AGIP Oil has approved and accepted the AMOS Maintenance and Pr ocurement modules for operation at its Libya based Oil production facilities.

Since the installation by SpecTec in August 2004 the AMOS system has been operational at each of AGIP's sites, including the Bouri Offshore Field (comprising 2 offshore oil platforms and an FSO), Abuattifel onshore/desert site and Dahara Head Office (based in Tripoli). With the system having completed the onsite trial period successfully AGIP Oil have formally accepted the system.

Malcolm Youngson, SpecTec Pr oject Manager, says that the acceptance and approval of AMOS M&P is a significant milestone, not only for the AGIP Oil project, but for other prospective Oil and Gas customers. "Oil and gas companies face increasing pressure to minimize costs whilst meeting production targets. Companies are looking to optimize asset management and streamline the materials management process whilst minimizing. AMOS provides a solution to help meet these objectives."

The AGIP Oil application delivery includes additional modules such as Expediting management, Custom Clearance management, Cost Tracking and Internal Stock Requisitioning (IROM).

Custom built AMOS interfaces with the AGIP financial package and purchasing Agent systems have also been developed. The project delivery included migration of all AGIP Oil data from the existing maintenance, warehouse and procurement systems and end user training.
