Wood Group appoints New Chief Information Officer

Wood Group has appointed Brad Dibble as chief information officer (CIO) for its engineering activities. The new position will involve direct functional accountability for all WG Engineering IT and information management (IM) operations and infrastructure worldwide. In addition to these responsibilities, Brad will be instrumental in the development of the "virtual office" concept, which is of strategic importance to Wood Group's engineering activities.

Brad brings 16 years of experience in the industry to this new role. He joined Mustang Engineering in 2004, where he worked with the Pr oject Systems Management group on benchmarking, project management training, risk management, and project proposal support. Pr eviously, Brad worked with Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR). His responsibilities there included development and implementation of computerized information management systems, project engineering management, engineering sales, and engineering. He was also regional IT manager of the Offshore Division. Brad has a bachelor¿s of science degree in mechanical engineering from Rice University .

As CIO, Brad will have the responsibility to develop, implement and champion the virtual office concept for Wood Group's engineering companies. The virtual office strategy will allow Wood Group to link its IT infrastructure globally to provide clients with increased cost-effective and efficient project design execution. Associates will be able to utilize comparable systems around the world to best advance engineering concepts, and to collaborate on projects no matter where they may be based.

"Brad brings a novel blend of engineering and IT experience for a variety of projects to this new position," said Trevor Noble, Group Engineering Director. "His understanding of the engineering design process, project management and IT work will be invaluable as the virtual office concept is expanded to enhance connectivity of engineering activities worldwide."
