The Arab Instrumentation and Automation Show, a trading forum for Instrumentation, Control & Automation technology, products and services, will debut under the umbrella of OGS 2005 (Arab Oil and Gas Show 2005). Organized by IC&E, the Instrumentation and Automation segment will run parallel to OGS from 7 to 9 November, 2005 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.

“IC&E has been inundated with requests from instrumentation and automation industry players to host a show dedicated to this segment. We have realized that there is a distinct need for a professional event profiling instrumentation, automation and control technology and services that caters to the buying needs of multi-industry sectors. The resultant Automation and Instrumentation segment will satisfy the requests from both exhibitors and buyers,” said Anselm Godinho, Managing Director, International Conferences and Exhibitions, organizers of the event.

Focusing on the requirements of the Energy, Engineering & Construction, Manufacturing, logistics and communications among other industry sectors, the Arab Instrumentation and Automation Show will witness a comprehensive display from mainstream providers of technology, such as Siemens and Honeywell. The Show also promises to be a launch pad for innovative technologies entering the Middle East region for these niche market segments.

With public and private sectors investing heavily in innovative technology due to the massive development of infrastructure in the region, Dubai , the UAE and other GCC nations will be the primary client markets for exhibitors. Besides the GCC region, as part of the OGS trade visitor flow, the exhibitors will also meet with technology buyers from the rest of the Middle East , Iran , the Indian Subcontinent and the Mediterranean regions.

Exhibitors preparing to meet with clients from multi-sector industries including production and manufacturing, environmental monitoring, health care, municipal services, process and quality control, refining and warehousing, have put in place a rich schedule of hands-on seminars and workshops aimed at educating buyers about the latest technology and industry trends.

“This is a very diverse market segment with manufacturers, dealers and buyers from nearly every industry, including public sector buyers such as the civil aviation, electricity and water authorities, telecommunications providers, police and port authorities. As such, a show of this magnitude will be the ideal platform for buyers and sellers alike,” concluded Godinho.
