Gasco awards expansion contract

Chicago Bridge & Iron Company (CB&I) has won a $127 million lump-sum turnkey contract on the natural gas processing expansion project of Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd. (Gasco), an Adnoc subsidiary.
The contract, to design and build LPG storage tanks and a pentane tank, has been awarded by EPC contractor Italy 's Snamprogetti.
Gasco is expanding its existing Ruwais facility that processes associated and non-associated gas from onshore oil production into marketable natural gas liquids for export.
CB&I will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction of four 83,600 cubic metre nominal capacity concrete full containment LPG tanks and a 76,000 cubic metre nominal capacity atmospheric storage tank for Pentane Plus.
Completion of the project is scheduled at mid-2008.
