Dolphin pre-commission contract

Weatherford Oil Tool Middle East has signed a Letter of Intent with  Saipem , Portugal , for the pre-commissioning work on the Dolphin Gas Project pipelines in Qatar and the UAE. Weatherford expect to finish work on the $10 million contract in the second quarter of 2006.
Weatherford’s work includes filling, cleaning, gauging, caliper survey, hydro-testing, dewatering, drying and nitrogen purging/packing services for the project’s three pipelines. These are the 36 inch 70 kilometre Sealine 1 and the 36 inch 86 kilometre Sealine 2, both exporting to Ras Laffan, and the 48 inch 361 kilometre export pipeline system from Ras Laffan to Al Taweelah, UAE.
Weatherford project management will be coordinated from offices in Dubai , with support from four other Weatherford bases in the UAE and Qatar .
