Proclad to set up $109 million Dubai complex

Proclad Group International has signed an agreement with Dubai Techno Park to set up a Dh400 million ($109 million) industry complex at the park.
The industry complex will be developed on a total land area of 500,000 square feet, and will house more than 300 employees, including scientists, consultants, engineers and technicians.
The complex will comprise Proclad's manufacturing facility that will produce specialised products for the oil and gas industry, besides a professional training academy to impart advanced training to local students to help them evolve into competitive professionals in the oil and gas industry.

The industrial complex will also have a Research and Development Centre focused on developing innovative technologies relevant to the oil and gas sector.
This centre will be linked with Proclad R&D centres in Scotland and Singapore, set up in collaboration with leading European and American Research & Development institutes.
Proclad Group International CEO Yaseen Jafar said: ' Proclad has stepped up its operations in the Middle East, and is currently bidding for a number of projects which are cumulatively worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
'The industrial complex at Techno Park will handle most of these high-profile projects, and will effectively serve as the nerve centre for all our future operations.'
