Customers upgrade to Oracle E-Business Suite 11i

Dubai, United Arab Emirates — Oracle Corp., the world’s largest enterprise software company, today demonstrated the continued strong momentum of customers upgrading to the Oracle® E-Business Suite 11i with its announcement that more than 75 percent of Oracle’s applications customers worldwide are live or implementing the Oracle E-Business Suite.

Customers who are live on the Oracle E-Business Suite are able to streamline business processes, reduce costs and leverage enhanced functionality include: Emirates Airline; Haji Husein Alireza; 1-800-FLOWERS.com; AFFINA; American Diabetes Association; American Power Conversion Corporation (APC), Lloyds TSB, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young UK, Dubai Duty Free; Government of Bahrain, Sun Microsystems and more.

Emirates Airline
The Award winning airline initiative, based on the Oracle E-Business Suite 11i, has integrated the accounting, human resources, procurement, and order management functions across the entire group, it enables more than 15,000 employees to access key business applications and information through the Internet.

Saudi Arabia's leading automotive distributor has completed a project to deploy the Oracle E-Business Suite 11i in addition to in-house developed Oracle-based applications. "Our long-term partnership with Oracle has enabled HHA to plan, develop and execute this growth strategy and will support our operations in the future," said Ahmedullah Khan, manager information systems, HHA.

"The superior security and reliability of Oracle's technology and business applications, plus their ability to support tremendous volumes of online data, made Oracle the only realistic choice for a project of this scale and ambition" Khan added.

HHA is already reaping the benefits of its IT modernization strategy. With more than nine years of financial data migrated to its new system, consistency and business intelligence are already enabling managers at HHA to make faster and more informed decisions about the day to day operation.

As one of the most recognized brands in gift retailing, 1-800-FLOWERS.com is upgrading to the Oracle E-Business Suite 11i to take advantage of new functionality and standardize operations across its growing organization. 1-800-FLOWERS.com recently acquired The Popcorn Factory and needed a scalable and integrated order processing and financial platform to offer its customers same-day and next-day delivery capability. Oracle Consulting will help 1-800 Flowers.com move from release 11.0 to the Oracle E-Business Suite 11i, including Oracle Financials, Oracle Order Management and Oracle Purchasing.

American Diabetes Association
Using Oracle Consulting, The American Diabetes Association (ADA) went live on the Oracle E-Business Suite in just three months. The ADA chose Oracle E-Business Suite to centralize its financial and procurement operations in an effort to reduce costs as well as streamline and automate processes. Oracle Consulting’s Business Flow implementation methodology provided ADA with a fixed-price, fixed-scope solution that ensured a quick implementation designed to help the organization reach its goal of saving millions, annually. In addition, with Oracle Consulting’s online delivery option, ADA was able to take advantage of Oracle experts located around the world.
