ExxonMobil's
FLEXSORB Technology selected for another natural gas application
Posted: 16 March 2003
FAIRFAX, Va — (Business Wire) ExxonMobil
Research and Engineering Company (EMRE) announced today that Tom
Brown, Inc., a North American natural gas and crude oil producing
and marketing company, has selected EMRE's FLEXSORB technology to
be applied in an Acid Gas Enrichment Unit at their Lisbon Gas Plant
near Moab, Utah.
FLEXSORB SE and FLEXSORB SE Plus amine scrubbing technologies are
proven, cost-effective ways to selectively remove H2S from process
gas
streams, even in the presence of CO2.
More efficient than conventional amine gas treating, this
technology easily fits into natural gas processing, refining, and
petrochemicals operations using conventional gas treating equipment.
In grassroots units, substantial investment and operating cost
savings are realized. In retrofit situations, increased capacity
is
realized with equal or better H2S cleanup. With higher capacity
per
volume of solvent, FLEXSORB technology allows for debottlenecking
with
no increase in circulation rate.
EMRE is the research and engineering arm of ExxonMobil, a leading
global oil, natural gas, and petrochemicals company whose subsidiaries
have operations in nearly 200 countries and territories.

licenses can be found at www.exxonmobil.com/refiningtechnologies.
Tom Brown, Inc. (NYSE:TBI) is a Denver-based independent energy
company engaged in the exploration for, and the acquisition, development,
production and marketing of, natural gas, natural gas liquids and
crude oil in North America.
