MonU-Tech expands into Saudi Arabia and Bahrain

Posted: 30 March 2003

Riyadh — MonU-Tech, a Saudi-based software integrator, announced its expansion plans from the Eastern part of the Kingdom to Riyadh and Bahrain.

“Our business partnership with ACCPAC, our commitment and loyalty to our customers, and more importantly, our ability to understand the needs and the constraints of the medium sized enterprise market helped us in tripling our revenues for last year and is a main driver behind our expansion this year,” said Mohamed Doar, sales manager at Monu-tech.

The company established its business partnership with ACCPAC, a leading international business management software provider three years ago.

“When we first looked into the Saudi market, as well as the rest of the region, we had to partner with a company that understands technology as well as the diversity of business needs, especially in the Saudi market,” said Marc Van der Ven, regional director for ACCPAC. “MonU-Tech this year created several big success stories for us and our clients in the Kingdom.”

Mohamed Doar, sales manager at Monu-tech says that while large businesses in the Kingdom and Bahrain are big investor on technology, the majority of businesses in both countries are medium enterprises (businesses with an annual turnover of up to $800 million according to MonU-Tech).

Given the size and the scale of operations to the lower end of medium sized businesses, these, according to Doar, remains in demand for solutions that deliver fast return on investments and also, are strong enough to build on their efficiencies. He explains: “We are one of the few businesses who go to the the medium sized market with proven solutions that do not exceed the customer’s needs, but rather build towards his needs today and in the future. Fast implementations and quick positive return on investment; this is what we deliver.”

According to Doar, one of the keys to a successful long-term software solution for medium sized clients is empowering the client to make a choice. “While cost and productivity remain a priority for our customers, what they value even more, is the freedom of choice that ACCPAC delivers. In fact, the freedom in choosing a database, other software programs that integrate with ACCPAC and future expansion plans of the technology platforms are also choices that we can make as solution integrators, enabling us to provide superior consultancy to our customers.”

With its two new offices, MonU-Tech aims at getting closer to its existing ACCPAC client base with multiple offices and expand into new vertical markets.

Marc Van der Ven, regional director for ACCPAC, said “Our business partners in the Middle East have done a great job in establishing building our client base, maintaining it and overlooking its satisfaction. They do not only act as our front line with ACCPAC clients, but also are main market feedback to ACCPAC with information that directly goes into our product development.”
