UAE 2003 offers UAE nationals more jobs
Posted: 2 April 2003
Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), organisers of Careers UAE 2003,
the country’s largest dedicated career fair for UAE nationals
announced that this year’s event will provide considerably
more job opportunities for professionally qualified UAE nationals.
The event is being organised in conjunction with the Higher Colleges
of Technology (HCT), The National Human Resource Development and
Employment Authority (TANMIA) and Zayed University and will take
place at the Airport Expo Dubai from April 20 to 23.
“We recognise the importance of emiratisation and the impact
it brings about on the economic and social life of our community
and we are deeply committed to providing increased employment opportunities
for capable and talented UAE nationals,” said DWTC Director
General, Mubarak bin Fahad.
He noted that the DWTC already has a high percentage of UAE nationals
employed in key positions within the organisation and there is always
room for bright and talented professionals who aspire to join the
DWTC and advance their careers.
“We are not just looking at emiratisation to merely give
jobs to UAE nationals, but to increase employment, employee retention,
wages of our employees and thereby enhancing the quality of the
personnel to increase our profits and enhance productivity as well
as market competitiveness,” stressed Mr. bin Fahad.
DWTC Manager Human Resources, Haidar Ali announced that the DWTC
has more than 20 immediate vacancies on offer in different departments.
“We will be conducting on the job interviews at the Careers
UAE 2003 to fill in several prime as well as entry level positions
within the organisation and professionally qualified UAE nationals
with experience will be given due prominence for the key positions.”
“We would like to emphasise that we will be conducting walk-in
interviews and appraisals at the event from our stand number D5
at the Airport Expo which is tactically located near the entrance
to the East Hall and we are on the lookout for students fresh out
of university as well as suitably qualified UAE nationals that are
gainfully employed and are seeking to join a professional and challenging
corporate environment such as the DWTC and making a meaningful contribution,”
Mr. Ali remarked.
He noted that there would be several more vacancies once the Dubai
International Convention Centre became fully functional and with
the two new hotels - Ibis World Trade Centre Hotel and Novotel World
Trade Centre Hotel and the new tower opening shortly.
Careers UAE 2003 is expected to surpass last year’s participation
levels. DWTC has already received a strong response from the private
sector, banks, multinationals, IT and media sectors to participate
in this year’s edition.
