  ADNOC HSE Awards 2002

Posted: 18 May 2003

HE Yousef Omair Bin Yousef, Secretary General of the Supreme Petroleum Council and CEO of ADNOC will host the 6th annual ADNOC Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Awards on Monday evening 19 May 2003, at a ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

Outstanding achievements by ADNOC Group companies in 2002 will be recognised in the categories of Health, Safety, Environment, HSE Performance and Innovation. The winners and runners-up in each category will be recognised. The companies will be presented with a trophy and the individual team members will be recognised with a certificate of merit.

The ADNOC HSE Awards are open to employees of ADNOC Group Companies as well as contractors providing services to the Group companies. Award submissions are accepted for work that has already been achieved or completed in the specific award year.

All applications go through a 3 phase judging process. A panel of judges from the ADNOC Group Companies conduct a preliminary screening of the applications.

The top entries in each category are carried forward to a second round of judging conducted by the Group Company General Managers.

The 3rd round of judging involves the ADNOC CEO & Directors reviewing and confirming the final selections.

Applications are judged on the quality of their submission, how they have demonstrated good performance in a particular area of HSE, transferability of knowledge to other areas of the ADNOC Group, reputation enhancement and innovation.

The ADNOC HSE Awards were initiated in 1997 to recognise outstanding achievements by employees and affiliated contractors of the ADNOC Group Companies in the areas of Health, Safety & Environment.

The Awards provide tangible evidence of ADNOC’s commitment to HSE and are a key element in the ongoing objective to promote HSE amongst company employees and contractors.

The Awards program is designed to motivate companies, teams and individuals to investigate and initiate activities that are beneficial to the health and safety of employees and the public, and the protection of the environment in which they operate.
