DeXa.Ensure e-continuity for Wapping
Posted: 21 May 2003
Schlumberger announced that SchlumbergerSema, its information technology
(IT) business segment, has introduced e-continuity services at its
Wapping business recovery center.
These services, which are managed as a DeXa.Ensure capability within
the SchlumbergerSema DeXa Suite of Services, allow customers to
quickly and economically redirect critical Internet-dependent processes
in real-time in the case of an emergency situation.
To support this service, SchlumbergerSema has added high-speed
connectivity to the Wapping business continuity site, one of several
DeXa.Ensure recovery centers in the London area.
SchlumbergerSema understands the tremendous revenue-generating
opportunities available to customers by way of Internet-enable software
applications and has responded with a value-added service for businesses
requiring e-continuity arrangements.
E-continuity shifts conventional business continuity plans to a
model that ensures availability for mission-critical Internet processes.
It is an increasingly important component in business continuity
planning due to the fact that Internet access and email play an
increasingly integral part in many companies' business.
SchlumbergerSema DeXa.Ensure mitigates any prolonged period of
systems or communications downtime, allowing customers to avoid
detrimental service interruption and the potential negative impact
to customer satisfaction and revenue flow.
SchlumbergerSema DeXa.Ensure e-continuity services enables a company
to protect the investments it has made in order to take commercial
advantage of the Internet.
The full range of DeXa.Ensure e-continuity services from SchlumbergerSema
is now available at Wapping, as well as two other London recovery
centers, and in Bristol.
DeXa.Ensure is the next-generation business continuity offering
that leverages essential computing infrastructure solutions within
the SchlumbergerSema DeXa Suite of Services as part of an integrated
business continuity service.
